Known as black ginger, Kaempferia Parviflora is indigenous to Thailand and part of the Zingiberaceae family.

Ginger is a traditional food ingredient, and a popular supplement for its digestive health benefits. Similarly, black ginger is rich in nutrition and has health benefits as well.

Its big, wide leaves and small purple/pinkish white flowers make this plant more worthy to be considered an ornamental plant as well. It should be placed under semi-shade and watered only when the soil is dry.
